Nala (01/2023), Female

My name is Nala and I was rescued from the streets near LBS foster home to be treated and brought up to health as the team noticed I was suffering from a respiratory infection.

I am a gorgeous grey young lady! I seem very shy at first meetings and will usually be scared of other cats, but quickly become playful and comfortable showing my true personality! Loud noises may momentarily startle me, but I will not get too scared and will quickly calm myself down again.

I will need to independently scope out my new surroundings if I change environment, but will adjust fast and explore every place and corner! I like having my own private hiding spot somewhere in the house in case I want to spend some time alone. Although I am separated from the rest of the residents at the moment, I love to interact and play and adore cuddles! I love soft pets, and have a special spot right under my chin.

Toys that make funny noises are amazing and especially those ones moving on their own! I am very attached to Noel and will try to play and approach her through the cage. I also love protected areas and sun spots! Despite not being crazy for food, I do have a healthy appetite and don’t have a preference, I eat both wet and dry food!

I won’t seek cuddles and pets, but will not let you stop once you’ve started stroking me. I seem to feel more protected and comfortable in lower hiding spots and although I am very calm and quiet, I get scared when being put in a carrier.

I am a newly domesticated cat, as I was a stray until recently. I do some weird and quirky things like hide in my litter box and even take my dry food out of the bowl and putting it on the floor before eating it. My meow is the cutest and quietest noise ever, and I even started to chirp at other cats passing by.

Nala was adopted locally in July 2024.
