Hi, I'm Maverick! I may be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I’m all about the cuddles. It takes me some time to adjust to new places and people, but when I feel comfortable, I love gentle pets on my head, chin, and back. Just a heads-up—I’m not a fan of belly rubs or being picked up and carried around.

I’m pretty neutral when it comes to other cats, but I do love spending time with my brother. I’m happy in a multi-cat home or as the solo star of the show. In fact, I think I’d gain more confidence in a solo home where I can get all the attention. I’m all about quiet, cozy spaces where I can feel safe and keep an eye on things from my favorite hidden spots. My go-to napping places are my cat house on the balcony or at the bottom of a cat tree, where I can relax in peace. I spend most of my days lounging and napping, but I’ll definitely play with a cat stick when I’m in the mood.

I’m a pretty relaxed guy who loves to sleep, and I like to purr softly to let you know I’m happy. I even make a special sound when you pet me! Sudden movements and loud noises can startle me, so I’d prefer a calm home, maybe with older, patient kids who understand that I need my space sometimes. I’m usually quiet, but I come to life during feeding time—wet food is my favorite!

My story? Well, I spent a lot of time on the streets, alone and scared. I used to watch people from the safety of the treetops, only coming down when it felt safe. But one day, a kind rescuer decided I deserved a better life. She was so patient, and after some time, she finally captured me and took me to the vet. It was a bit scary at first, but I soon realized they were there to help me. Slowly but surely, I’ve come out of my shell, learning that the world can be kind and safe.

Now, I’m just waiting for my forever home where I can truly blossom into the loving companion I know I can be!

My name is Marlowe, and I’m a sweet, affectionate cat, though it takes me a little time and patience to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Once I feel safe, I love cuddling and being petted, especially on my head, chin, and neck—but belly rubs aren’t really my thing. I’m pretty easygoing around other cats and can adapt to living in a multi-cat environment or a solo home, especially if my brother is around. While I don’t form close bonds with other cats at the shelter, I do enjoy sleeping near my brother, and I like having humans nearby when I want some love.

I can be shy when I meet new people or am in unfamiliar places, and I might hide at first until I feel safe. Sudden movements and loud noises startle me, so I’d do best in a calm home with older children who are patient and understanding. My favorite spots are high perches and windows, where I can nap and watch the world outside. I’m not too interested in toys or treats, but wet food? Now that’s something I love! I’m most active during feeding times, especially in the mornings and evenings, and otherwise, I’m pretty laid-back and quiet.

I’ll let you know what I need—if I’m uncomfortable, I might hiss to show it, but when I’m happy, you’ll hear me purring contentedly.

As for my rescue story, I was once a stray, living on the streets and being fed by a kind lady. For a while, that was my life—until one day, I disappeared. No one knew where I had gone or what had happened to me. When I finally returned, I was in really bad shape—weak, sick, and not doing well at all. The lady who had been feeding me saw how much I needed help, and thanks to her, I was taken in for treatment. It took time, patience, and a lot of love, but I fully recovered.

Now, I’m here, safe, healthy, and ready to find a forever home where I can start the next chapter of my life.
