Kalahari (04/2021), Male
Hi there, my name is Kalahari and I am one of the Desert kittens. My mum´s name is Sahara and my rescuer thought it might be nice to call me and my siblings after the greatest deserts of the world.
I and my four sisters were taken away from my mum by a stranger who threw us out on the busy street in Varkiza. We got separated, and two of my sisters got lost for few hours. Luckily, there was a kind lady who spotted the three of us and immediately contacted Let´s Be S.M.A.R.T. Team. I was the bravest of all and showed them how protective I am of my sisters. Later that day, we were reunited with my other two sisters and even with my mum who was looking for us. Three of my sisters already found their forever homes. For now, I and my sister Atacama are still staying in Let´s Be S.M.A.R.T. Foster Home.
I grew into a very kind, brave, curious and handsome young cat. I love to play with everything, but especially with my sister Atacama. When I want to play, I am very energetic and run, jump and climb around like a crazy furry ball. However, when I am tired, I am calm, and I love to snooze on really soft pillows and cat beds.
Since I was small, I really enjoyed fluffy blankets and even now, as big as I am, I still enjoy kneading and suckling on them before I go to bed. It became my and my sister´s everyday ritual. I really like to sleep next to humans and sometimes I go even under the covers, I definitely have to check it out what are you hiding there.
I am very confident around humans; I do not have a problem to climb into your arms and be stroked. I absolutely adore belly rubs and all kinds of cuddles, within some boundaries, of course.
I am a great eater, I really like the wet food that we have at foster home every morning, but I won´t say no to dry food either.
Being outdoors on the terrace is my favorite thing to do, especially when there are doves around that I love to observe and even chase if possible. Bugs? Where? Wait, I am going to get them! Cat grass is a must, of course, I like to graze on it on the daily basis.
Me and my sister Atacama are very close, we would love to stay together a lot, we usually sleep together, eat together, even play and do all kinds of mischiefs together. You wouldn’t regret a second, if you decide to give us our forever loving home, because we are both amazing and very good kitties.

Atacama (04/2021), Female
Hi there, my name is Atacama, after Atacama Desert. My mum is a stray cat called Sahara, so my rescuer thought it might be fun to call me and my four siblings after the greatest deserts of the world.
I and my brother and three sisters were taken away from our mum by a stranger and threw out on the busy street of Varkiza. We were really scared and tried to hide inside the tires of parked cars. We got separated, and two of my sisters got lost for few hours. One kind lady who feeds stray cats nearby spotted us and immediately called Let´s Be S.M.A.R.T. team. Later that day, we were reunited with our lost siblings. They even managed to find our mum, who was crying and trying to find us. So good end to our dangerous adventure. My three sisters already found their forever home, so it is only me and my brother Kalahari left. We are safe and well looked after in Let´s Be S.M.A.R.T. Foster Home.
When I was found, I couldn´t see at all. My eyes were completely glued together by lots of puss and scabs. I was just sitting and waiting what is going to happen to me. But in no time, with good care, I could see again and discover the beautiful world.
I love to play with everybody and everything. My favorite toys are small rattling mice and balls, but playing with Kalahari or other kitties is the best. I am a fantastic climber, I really enjoy scratching posts and tall cat trees, higher the better.
I am very curious and quiet girl and when I feel safe, I am very cuddly and sweet. I like to come and cuddle on human´s lap from time to time, helping with writing on the laptop or doing some crafts is a must.
I really like to sleep on soft beds and pillows, I was also told that I sleep in weird positions. Well, I cannot tell you if it is true, of course. Every night before I go to sleep, I and Kalahari meet and knead on a soft fluffy blanket and often even suckle on it. It is our habit since we were small kittens.
We are very close with my brother Kalahari, we clean each other a lot, we play together and often sleep next to each other. I guess that´s why our careers decided to find us home together. We are the best duo you can possible meet.
