Bowser (02/2015), Male

Hey there, human. I’m Bowser, a laid-back, affectionate guy who enjoys the simple things in life—like a warm, cozy nap and a good chin scratch. My life started in a difficult place. I was one of around 40 cats kept in small carriers, with my owner only visiting once a week to clean and feed us. It was a lonely existence, but that’s not the story I choose to hold on to. Thanks to kind rescuers and organizations like the one that saved me, I was given a second chance. Now, instead of dwelling on the past, I focus on the love and care I receive while I wait for my forever family. My past shaped me, but it doesn’t define me.

I’ve got a big heart, and while I might not be the type to jump into your lap, I love being near my favorite people. If you’re looking for a cat who will be your quiet, loyal companion, I think we’ll get along just fine.

I get along well with other cats, especially Peach and Yoshi, but I’m just as happy on my own. I don’t start any drama—I just like to relax, nap, and enjoy life at my own pace. I’m not super into toys, but I do like to explore new spaces before finding my favorite cozy spot to curl up in.

I’m mostly a quiet guy, but when I have something to say—especially about food—you’ll hear me! I love my wet food and don’t have any picky eating habits.

Health-wise, I’m doing well, though I do have some mild ataxia and respiratory issues from feline herpes. It doesn’t slow me down, though! I might need a dental cleaning or some extra care in the future, but nothing too serious.

I’d do best in a calm home with older kids or adults who appreciate a low-maintenance, affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, independent cat who just wants to hang out and enjoy life with you, I’d love to be your new best friend.
