In 2025, Let's be S.M.A.R.T. proudly launched our innovative “Adoption-Vacation” initiative.
This unique program invites travelers to meet and adopt rescue cats and dogs from our foster home during their stay in Greece—offering a meaningful way to make a lasting difference while enjoying a memorable holiday.

Located in Attica, just 15 minutes from Athens International Airport, our foster home is home to over 100 cats and several dogs, all waiting for a second chance in a loving, forever home.

Our Adoption-Vacation program is open to international visitors and includes full support to guide new pet parents through the process of bringing their adopted companion safely back home.

In addition to our rescue and rehoming efforts, Let’s be S.M.A.R.T. runs educational initiatives to promote responsible pet ownership and ethical adoption practices. We also collaborate with global partners to help place animals with families abroad.

Have you ever wanted to help the stray cats and kittens you meet while exploring Greece? Whether you come across a hungry street cat, find an injured animal, or discover a litter of tiny kittens, knowing how to help can make all the difference.
At Let’s Be S.M.A.R.T., we've created a FREE Tourist Guide – Helping Stray Cats & Kittens to give you practical advice on how to help animals responsibly during your stay in Greece.
Our guide covers how to recognise and help stray cats, basic kitten care, what to do if you find an injured animal, how to find local animal welfare organisations, and how to report animal abuse. It also explains how you can potentially give a rescued cat a forever home, even after returning to your own country.
